Ministry Update: ECS Ministries – Jan 13, 2015

Thank you for praying for ECS Ministries.
Prayer
Publishing – We have a number of manuscripts for publishing. Please pray that we will have wisdom in prioritizing them.
There are new postal regulations coming into force, and UPS has changed the way they measure the weight of some packages. Pray for our warehouse staff, that they will be able to fulfill these new requirements.
Iowa – Janet Freeman
Pray that those she contacts will take the offer of a free course and start their studies of the Bible.
Oregon – Bari Mitchell
Pray for my children and grandchildren to know Jesus and live for Him. Pray for the inmates doing the studies to be filled with the Holy Spirit and live lives pleasing to Jesus especially when released. Pray the Holy Spirit gives me the words and Scripture to share with inmates.
Alaska – Russ Bevan
Please pray for more open doors to share the Gospel directly with inmates; for safety as I travel to the new Alaska prison at Goose Creek (the road is often snowy and icy); for me as I go to the Founder’s Week Conference at Moody Bible Institute and for the funds to purchase and mail the ECS courses.
Alaska – Betty Steenmeyer
I’m thankful for the opportunity to serve God in this ministry and for my sustained health. Pray for Steve DeLisio a retired attorney who visits inmates in Anchorage and passes out enrollment cards.
France – Brigitte Sutherland
The course Managing Anger God’s Way has just been translated. We are now re-reading it with other volunteers. We hope to have it available by February 1. Pray for translation and editing worldwide – a HUGE task!
Faroe Islands
Jens Bech is a new contact that Jim Fleming has. Jens is interested in restarting an ECS work that went into “retirement”. Pray that Jim & Jens will coordinate that restart effort effectively.
Puerto Rico
Esther Frey praises God for the 30 exams from a NEW prison in west. Originally, there was some difficult getting into this prison. Praise God for grace in the eyes of a new chaplain.
