Ministry Update: ECS Ministries – Sep 19, 2016

ecs-logo300x300medDear Brethren,
Thank you for praying for the many aspects of ECS Ministries.

Prayer Items

Peru – Ruben Quispe and Jim Fleming
Please pray for the 4th national ECS Peru conference being held in northern Peru with directors from ECS Centers all over Peru. After many years of a stagnant ECS work, it is starting to grow again and there is much for them to learn.

Lima – Peru
Jim Fleming asks prayer as he teaches through the Epistle to the Galatians at a city-wide conference Friday, September 23 – Sunday, September 25. Students go home with the Emmaus course to complete.

Watch a short clip from Jim Fleming, from his recent trip on our Facebook page.

Texas
Rodger Turley was released from the hospital on Friday after two nights and a day of heart tests. Diagnosis: no major issues. He was told to take aspirin for 30 days. Praise the Lord for the report!

Maryland – John Plasterer
“Please pray, there are many changes happening in our state prison system. Pray that the ministry opportunities will increase rather than become restricted and that I will have wisdom how best to use my time.”

Illinois – Connie Strmic
We have been praying for house bill 6579 or 15/50 which would give some special thought to those inmates over 50-years-old who have served 15 yrs. of their time. This would be for ideal inmates who have stayed out of trouble. It would be good for 2 ladies that we know who are a long time students. (Eva Castro and Karen McCarron).

Pennsylvania – Bill Hulshizer
An inmate recently sent us a letter thanking us for the courses. He told us he was saved through these courses! We often do not know the end results of our work. This inmate went on to say that when they meet on the prison base for their church meetings, that using the courses, he now preaches the Word of God to as many as 600 inmates at once. Praise God!!!

linda-jeskelinda-jeskeCongratulations to Linda Jeske – who has faithfully served at ECS Ministries for around 12 years. Linda is a delightful woman who has expressed true servanthood in attitude and action. Even though she is retiring, Linda will be greatly missed – especially when we need help organizing student certificates! We love you Linda and pray for God’s continued blessing on you as you honor the Lord Jesus.
