Ministry Update: ECS Ministries – Jan 6, 2015

Dear Brethren,

Thank you for praying for ECS Ministries.

Prayer

Bitterly cold weather and snow has come to the mid-west (where Dubuque is located). Pray for safety for the staff as they travel to/from the office.

Bible Book Challenge Kicked off January 5. Pray for all the 754 students to be blessed by their study in the Book of Judges.

Pray for Rick, our office manager, as he works through all the detailed financial matters that occur at year-end.

South Africa – Dorothy Grieve
Pray for her ZULU Corrector, Eslina, who is ill and nothing has as yet been diagnosed, but is in great pain and unable to work.

Puerto Rico – Esther Frey
Pray the Lord will raise up her replacement to direct the work as Esther is planning to retire.

Australia – John
“Pray for the 12,000 Gospel Gem calendars that have gone out all over Australia and 9,700 more in the Queensland prisons – that hundreds will send in the ‘Free Emmaus Offer’ card and become students.”

South Carolina – Louis Rittweger
When we started the ministry at the first of the year, I had no idea how many courses we would send out or have completed, but ECS courses are having an impact at Anderson County Detention Center. Though there is a transient population in a jail, we are still having about 45% completion rate. Our greatest concern is how can we keep students actively doing the courses once they get out. We’re working on that problem. Thank you ECS for the blessing you are giving to inmates in Anderson, SC.

Pennsylvania – Tim Priano
Please continue to pray for Life’s Key! There are so many that need to learn of God’s love, and all we want to do is reach out with the materials and feedback they need to gain that better understanding. We know who holds tomorrow, but don’t know how many tomorrow’s we have left! Pray that the sense of urgency remains strong, obstacles are minimal, and that God will use us to our maximum potential. He has been good!
