Ministry Update: ECS Ministries – Jul 29, 2014
Thank you for praying with us!
Prayer
California – Doug Crabb
The board and I need the Lord’s wisdom about what should be done in many areas. An assistant director who will eventually take the reins is still needed. Pray for the board members: Bill Davis, Dave Welch, and Titus Crabb. Dirt work for buildings will begin this month at the Desert Escape. We thank the Lord for students who are seeking the Lord.
New York – Jeff Hage
Due to some factors, the Yonkers Gospel Mission board has decided to discontinue Department of Social Services funding. Additionally, we are considering relocating the work and making other significant changes to our operating model. We would greatly appreciate your prayerful support for the work of the Yonkers Gospel Mission.
Please continue to pray for the ECS Prison Coordinators for additional volunteers to grade and comment on courses. A recent testimony from Kenneth in Texas says it well, “I wanted to express my gratitude for the responses that are sent. I have saved all of them! I can’t wait for the feedback. It encourages me and gives me joy. Thanks for your diligence in keeping us students striving for more.”
Cambodia – Insun Park
1) The salvation of our translation assistant, Sinath.
2) The translation of “Summary of the Bible”
3) Editing work of the courses that are translated
4) Using the ECS courses with the staff of the Sangkhim Canaan School (K-12)
Bermuda – Jim Fleming asks for prayer that contacts on Bermuda may be followed up and the ECS work started there again.
International Persecution – Jim Fleming asks prayer for a number of our Emmaus Countries that must remain unnamed where there are various levels of “restrictions to persecution.”
