INDIA MINISTRY INTERNATIONAL
“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace” (Rom. 10:15).
Beloved partners in Ministry,
Greetings to you all in the most precious name of our Lord.
It is incredible how this year is almost coming to an end. After my return from India in the spring, there was some opportunity to minister to Indians locally. I also had a unique opportunity to minister to two groups of Gujaraties in the mid-west of the US. They are the group of people who own the most number of motels here in America. They are usually not very open either in India or here. But the challenge is to give them an opportunity to hear a clear presentation of the gospel, God’s good news. After my return from India, I spent a couple of days in Edmonton, Canada. It is becoming a desired place to live for Indian people. I spoke at a couple of chapels and other Indian gatherings. I also got to attend a wedding, and spend some time with the family and friends.
FIJI: My third visit to Fiji was in August/ September. I ministered in all the towns and some villages of Hindu people and ministered to a Hindu witch doctor while his family listened. Got many opportunities for veranda evangelism. In Fiji, the Hindus are very open. Many of them are putting their faith in the Gospel. Many have invited me to return. I spent ten days with an American missionary family reaching out to Hindus in Labasa. I have the background and language of the Hindus which became a big advantage in reaching out to them.
UK & REP. OF IRELAND: I was revisiting Glasgow after twenty years and had fantastic opportunities with Tamil and Malayalam speaking people. There are a lot of Indians in this place who do not believe in the Gospel. In the Midlands, I was able to minister to a new Telugu congregation in Coventry. I spent a week with my old OM team leader and also saw my English Teacher. I got to know them right after I had received the Lord as my personal Saviour. We served God in Punjab together over forty years ago. I’m so grateful for their hospitality and for the time that they had invested in me.
INDIA 2016: On Jan 20th, 2016, I am heading to India. This time I am going along with my eldest daughter, Galina. She wants to work in a girls home “Rehoboth” in Kerala for several months. Galina decided to leave her Resident Director job in a local, private university here. Having worked for four years, she decided to go and spend some time with young girls, most of them orphans. I was able to take some of my children there twelve years ago. It is an outstanding 110 years old institution with over 250 girls.
Do pray that the Lord may do a deeper work in and through Galina. I will be mostly ministering to Hindus in several places, and also conducting seminars in Hindu evangelism among Christian workers. Do pray for health and protection in the midst of intense opposition to the Gospel in India.
Thank you for standing with us.
Yours that the Hindus may hear,
Pushpan Pappu
