Ministry Update: ECS Ministries – Jul 18, 2016
Dear Brethren,
Thank you for praying for the many aspects of ECS Ministries.
Prayer Items
ECS Dubuque – Please pray for Terry Wilson this week, as he transitions into the Director position. He still has some remaining responsibilities at Camp Li-Lo-Li that he will be traveling back for on the weekends. Pray for he and Shirley during this time.
Iowa – Pray for Doris Blevins, volunteer in Dubuque. Her husband, George, passed away at the beginning of July, the funeral will be August 2.
Florida
Please pray for Joseph and Uldine Jeremiah. Uldine’s brother Charles recently passed away and Joseph’s brother had some serious health issues. The Jeremiahs will also be celebrating their 50th anniversary July 30.
Kansas
Please pray for Will and Karla Nuce. Due to Karla’s recent health issues, they feel it would be best to find another person to take over the coordinator role in Kansas. Ideally, another person from Kansas would be best.
Colombia – Gregorio Taborda
“Pray for the reactivation of our prison ministry. Many have stopped studying in the absence of a Prison Coordinator.” Gregorio is ECS Regional Coordinator for Central America and asks prayer for “the expansion of the ministry in Panama, Venezuela, and that can open doors in Nicaragua.”
South Africa
Karen Moodley writes: “It is with great pleasure and joy for me to do the work – how important every student is to the Lord and their salvation. To date we have serviced 320 new students. There are 2003 active Zulu students.
Zimbabwe – Chunga Jingini
Praise the Lord for new office laptop and a donation of 50 Shona Bibles to prisons. Praise the Lord for the Directors meeting on June 15 and we ask prayer for more Shona translations, reprints & ECS expansion to the city of Bulawayo and the translation of new Ndebele courses.
ECS Ministries Announcement:
Terry Wilson has been appointed to the role of Executive Director and will officially start work on July 18, 2016.
