Ministry Update: Bengal Bible Training Institute, India
Jamtara;
Dear Brethren,
Greetings from BBTI in our Lord’s name.
BBTI is an assembly based Bible Training Center situated in Eastern India. The training institute started with Bible training 28 years back in a small town of Bengal, India named Asansol with 6 students. Till this year 150+ native students have graduated after two years course in evangelism and are serving the Lord in various parts of India. The training is given free of cost . It is a faith based ministry. 26 years back the training center shifted from Asansol to Jamtara, Jharkhand in a land provided by missionaries through Stewards Association in India. We are surrounded by hundreds of santhal tribal villages. We are involved with the full team in planting new assemblies, Children ministry, Emmaus correspondence courses in various languages and Gospel Outreach works in the state of Jharkhand and in other neighbouring states-Bihar, Bengal and North Eastern India.
Recently we have started a Sisters Bible Training Centre with 24 students in the first batch studying free of cost of Vocational training courses for their empowerment and livelihood along with Bible training. They passed out on February 21, 2015. God willing we are planning to start the second batch on October 30, 2015.
We request the Assemblies and individuals to help the ministries of BBTI on regular basis. You may write the cheques in the name of “Bengal Bible Training Institute” and post us or send the gifts directly to BBTI account. We would be happy to send the account details if you would write to us.
There are three Urgent prayer needs.
1. Training the native young people for the Lord’s work in North India (present batch 20 students with teachers)
2. The ongoing building construction for the Sisters Center (A unique campus for the Sisters in North & East India)
3. The first batch Sisters who studied God’s Word and vocational training
You can be a part of this humble effort by praying and participating our various activities. We are developing a website for our Bible school and it is still under construction (www.bbti.in). Kindly contact by mail or phone.
Yours in His vineyard,
