Prayer Items
Pray for our largest user of Emmaus courses in the world, ZAM (Central Africa Mission). ZAM ships courses out of German all over Asia and Africa. They will be holding their annual conference this Saturday, April 11 for all their supporters and dozens of volunteers who collate and staple the courses for Africa. Pray that many will come and interested support will grow!
Washington – Irene Ridgeway
Irene recently had X-Rays that reveal a compression fracture of the spine. Pray for a speedy recovery.
Kentucky – Pradeep Mathew
“The Lord blessed us with a son. It is our first. Both mother and child are doing well by God’s grace even though he came 4 weeks early and it was a C-section.”
Florida – Joseph Jeremiah
28 postcards were sent to non-active students. Four promptly replied to replace lost courses due to transfers. Please
continue as Joseph looks forward to hearing from others.
California – Doug Crabb
ECS student Robert Hooper was released on April 1. He was to be the first person to participate in the ministry effort designed for The Desert Escape Ranch. However, when he was released it was discovered that he would have to stay closer to his parole officer for 5 weeks. Four brothers will interact in his life until he moves to The Ranch. Pray for Robert. He is vulnerable to the old life and is like a climber hanging on a cliff with the tips of his fingers. Michael Atkinson is another potential ex-inmate student who will be released in early June.
As we launch this effort to guide men into the truth, we value your prayers. Most former-inmates have problems that bring issues to their lives and create dysfunction in various ways especially spiritually. Please pray also for funding to get the Ranch building project going strong.
International Coordinator – Jim Fleming (See the prayer video below.)
Jim is on his way over the Atlantic. He asks that we pray that his time at the Bibletime Children’s Ministry conference this week in Ireland be very productive. ECS and Bibletime coordinate ministries in many countries so that we can reach 5 to 95 year olds with Bible study tools. A number of our ECS country directors will attend too.
Tanzania – Monika Snethlage
“Pray as I am preparing to reprint 4 courses this year and want to complete it before furlough in May.
Arabic – George Khalil
Much prayer is needed for time, insight, and energy to edit 12 additional Arabic courses for a third level. Also, pray for Mr. Fahmy in Egypt who is seeing the work grow quickly and is in need of third level. Praise God!
