Announcement of new General Secretary – Stewards Association in India

Dear fellow brethren in Christ,

It is with great joy that I wish to announce the selection of Mr. Raju M. Koshy as the new General secretary cum Treasurer  of Stewards Association in India. The General Body of the S.A.I. met on 12th November 2014 for the purpose of selection of the new General Secretary cum Treasurer.

The selection of a new General Secretary had become necessary because the existing General Secretary Mr. Thomas Rajan expressed his desire to step down because of his advancing of age and related health problems. This desire was expressed by him in the General Body Meeting held on 18th September 2014. Accordingly necessary publicity was given within the Assembly circles so that those who desire to serve as General Secretary of this organization could give their applications for considering for that post.

After exhausting all the formalities of the selection of General Secretary the General body of the S.A.I. decided to select Mr. Raju M. Koshy for this post. The name of Mr. Raju M . Koshy was proposed by Mr. Thomas Rajan, the outgoing General Secretary  in the said extra ordinary General Body meeting and Mr. Raju M. Koshy was unanimously selected and  inducted as the new General Secretary cum Treasurer of the Stewards Association In India.

Mr. Raju M. Koshy was working in a senior position in the Tax Department and has put in 37 years of service with the Govt. of India. As regards qualifications, he is a Postgraduate in Statistics and has a Masters in Law and he also has a Masters degree in Theology. He is the recipient of honors like the Commendation Certificates from the Finance Minister of India and  is the holder of the Presidential Award for Distinguished Service of Records from President of India while he served the Indian Government . As a Lawyer by profession, he joined the High Court of Kerala after superannuation from Govt. service and is  presently practicing law and has specialized in the field of Human Rights. He has sacrificially left his profession and offered his service for the Stewards Association in India.

After his induction in to the post of General Secretary cum Treasurer, Mr. Thomas Rajan, the outgoing General Secretary was requested to handover all the official files and documents of the SAI to the new General Secretary. Thereafter Mr. Raju M. Koshy, the new General Secretary was entrusted with all the official records and all it’s moveable and immovable properties and he has taken charge and assumed duty accordingly.

This notification is issued to inform all concerned that all matters concerning Stewards Association in India, Bangalore may be addressed to Mr. Raju M. Koshy, General Secretary as he has taken over charge of the Organisation.
