Newsletter from Ananda & Grace at Malawi (Southern Africa) – September, 2014
Warm greetings in the most holy and highly exalted name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The winter is just going to finish and summer is at entrance.
WORK OF THE LORD: God has been graciously using us in His work for which we praise and thank Him. As Lord said Harvest is plenteous but the laborers are few, there is plenty of work to do. Pray that in this dry season we can do much for the Lord.
Bethel’s Work: Praise God that new people are coming to the Assembly regularly & a man who was attending from last 8 months asked for Baptism and is attending baptism Bible study. Pray that other people may know and understand the teachings we have been teaching at the Bible studies on every Sunday. Pray for old believers that they might come regularly.
Construction Project: As we have mentioned in our previous newsletters, preparation is going on for construction project. City council issue is not resolved yet so we can’t go on for construction on the Trust land. We request please continue to pray that the Lord will provide a resolution of the rates problem with the land.
Gospel Outreach: Grace is continuing to share the Gospel in the area on every Monday morning. God opened hearts of many and few of them are coming to sisters meeting. Pray that they may know the Lord well.
Emmaus Work: God has been giving us much opportunity in many places and many people are doing courses. Please continue to pray for the people of those that they may understand the truth and know God better.
Village Churches: By the grace of God we could visit several assemblies in villages and God used us to strengthen the believers. They had arranged the mid-year conference at Bulasha from 29-31st August 2014. God used us to preach on the life of Abraham & Lot and believers were strengthened. God has provided to give out some Bibles and Hymn books and they are still needed. Please continue to pray for these village churches. Also pray for some people those have done the Emmaus courses – they are gathering as a group and doing the Bible studies at one of the village, they need to be encouraged.
Fire station work: It continues in Blantyre on every second Thursday and could visit Zomba fire station also to share the Word of God. Some firemen are doing Emmaus courses. They have been requesting prayers so that they may have better equipment from the Government or NGO’s as they promised since we have found that they can’t control when fires break out.
Challenge Gospel paper work: Praise God, new edition of Challenge is arrived and Pray that Lord may use the paper to come to Him. Now Bro. John Finnegan (Zomba) will be helping for editing and other things in the paper. Pray that Lord may grant wisdom to do this job. Please continue to pray about Isaac as he continues to collect the testimonies from the people around.
Book distribution: God has been using Bro. Jonathan Newell to write excellent books in Chichewa with Biblical solutions for African culture (Publishing and printing by OPAL Trust UK) and We have been distributing around here for reasonable prices and very nominal prices at villages. Pray for the new book ‘Fear on Every side’ make an impact on the people to Know the truth of God. We are praying for that we can introduce the books to the more churches and book shops around the country so it needs lot of time and travelling expenses. So please pray for this.
Family news: Big praise and thanks to God for His faithfulness. We are just going to finish two years being here in this country. We have now understood the people well and used to their culture. Although there are some discouraging, hurting times with the people, God’s grace is sufficient to overcome the evil one in the lives of people by the love of God. We are so thankful for the prayers and support of the saints around the world.
Thanks for praying for the TEP and it was renewed and we can stay here for 2 more years.
Please pray that the Lord will provide for the running of the truck and keep safe on the roads.
Anny & Jack: They have started the school again for another academic session. Anny is in 2nd grade now and Jack is still in Reception because of age. Pray that Lord may provide good health as well as school fees in time.
God willing we are planning to visit India this year in December please pray for God’s provision so that we can book the flight tickets soon.
