HOUSE OWNER ASKS TO VACATE THE RENTED PREMISES OF HOPE ACADEMY OF THEOLOGY & SCIENCES (HATS)

Today morning the house owner of one of the rented buildings of HATS came and asked us to vacate the premises. The rented building is currently is accommodating the men’s dormitory (housing 19 boys) & couple of faculty-family residence.

HATS is presently running from 3 rented homes in a residential colony. The rented premises always had its own maintenance issues with house owners reluctant to work on it. We pay around Rs 36,000 every month as rentals for HATS Campus.

Finding a new rented house is a big issue. House Owners are reluctant to give it for a purpose as ours. Moving from one rented accommodation to another has it’s own logistical issues. Each move & each year the rentals increases. Apart from that new premises in new location has it’s own problem from the anti-gospel elements in the neighborhood.

Currently we have 27 students (19 men & 8 women) from Brethren Assemblies across India. We also have a team of 7 residential faculty and 3 support staff staying in the Campus with families. Almost 43 persons including 5 families live in 9 rooms in 3 rented houses that makes HATS Campus.

The local Assembly (Hope Believers Assembly) which manages & administers HATS ministry also gathers in one of the houses in the rented premises. Hope Academy of Theology & Sciences (HATS) is a ministry initiative through Hope Believers (Brethren) Assembly, Bhopal.
