Ministry Update – Evg. P. Stephen, Tamil Nadu, India

Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu:

Dear brethren in Christ,

Greetings to you in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The ministry in Bethel and Peniel assemblies is proceeding in a blessed manner.

Bethel Christian Assembly, Ganapathy

All the families in Bethel Christian Assembly, Ganapathy are doing well. The Lord has blessed some families with new babies. The ministry of the assembly is also a great blessing. We are praying and planning to start a new ministry in the area called ‘Ondipudur’ and God willing we would begin the ministry shortly. The Lord has enabled us to buy a land for our assembly. We had to obtain a bank loan of Rs. 8,00,000/- (Rupees Eight Lakh only) to buy the land and by the end of July 2014, we were able to repay the entire loan. All the believers of our assembly liberally contributed every month which enabled us to repay the amount soon. Our next project is to build a prayer hall in the plot bought for this purpose. We hope and pray that the Lord would enable us to do the same at the earliest.

Peniel Assembly, Madukkarai

The ministry at Peniel Assembly, Madukkarai is going on in a blessed manner. A one day meeting organized on 26th January was a great blessing. During that meeting four people obeyed the Lord in the waters of baptism. Vacation Bible School ministry was conducted in the month of May and it was also a great blessing. We also organized three days meeting in the month of July. A special ‘Villuppattu’ program through which gospel was presented and many heard it. Please pray that the sown seeds may bring forth a good harvest in the coming days.

Ministry in MGR Nagar

We are regularly visiting a few families in the area called MGR Nagar. A few people attend the worship meetings.

I have been looking after the ministry of both Bethel and Peniel assemblies. I go to Peniel Assembly, Madukkarai and take part in the ministry on 3 Sundays and on one Sunday I will be in Bethel Assembly. The Lord has raised a few experienced brethren to conduct worship meeting in Bethel Assembly. We are praying earnestly that the Lord may provide a good full time worker to stay in Madukkarai and look after the ministry of Peniel.

My Family

The Lord has brought our family in a blessed manner in the past. My eldest daughter and son-in-law are in good health in Melbourne, Australia. We and our assembly believers are praying with a burdened heart that the Lord may bless them with a baby. Our second daughter and her family are in Bangalore; they have been blessed with a boy baby. Our third daughter Priscilla, has completed her B.Sc. Nursing and is working here. She is to get married to Bro. Nethaniah, worshipping in Kairos Brethren Assembly, Bangalore. The wedding will take place on 18th September 2014 in Miraj, Maharashtra State and a reception will be in Coimbatore on 25th September 2014. Please pray for all the arrangements and also for the couple who are to be married in Holy Matrimony.

I was not keeping well and was hospitalized for about 13 days in the month of August 2013 for severe cold and cough. Later on it was diagnosed to be ‘pneumonia’. I am still under medication for the same. My wife is also suffering from pain in knee joints and she is also under treatment. I request you all to kindly uphold us in your prayers for our good health, for the blessing of our children and for the blessing in our ministry.
