Believers Relief Trust

On the 1st of May 1979 some of the active members of General YMEF gathered themselves at Kottayam and gave shape to a Charitable Society under the caption ‘The Believers’ Relief Trust.’ The same was got registered with the Registrar’s Office Ernakulam (ER. 342/79 dated 22. 11. 79).

The main object of the Trust is to extend financial help to those who are financially backward and struggling for day to day needs, unable to meet the medical expenses at times of attacks by various diseases, for the marriages of daughters, educating children, maintenance of houses, etc. Every year the General body meet on the month of June, review previous year activities and take an executive committee of not less than eleven members. The executive committee meet once in three months and take appropriate decision on applications received during the period. The secretary is carrying out the decision of the general body and executive committee.

Now the Trust has completed 35 years of activities very satisfactorily. Thousands of very poor believers have been helped by the Trust. During 2013-14, total receipt for the Trust was Rs. 91,03,983/. More than 325 widows are regularly helped every year. Total Rs. 18,21,540/- was distributed to 141 believers for their treatment. Financial aid was given to 51 sisters (Rs. 7,14,500/-) for their marriage. Trust also gave financial support to 691 believers for house construction, house repairing and education.

We thank the Lord for all the donors of the Trust whose free will offerings are reaching the hands of very needy among the believers.

We also desire that elders of the assemblies may alert the believers regarding the services rendered by BRT and requesting their prayerful fellowship.
