Dear Loving Saints,

Greetings in the most precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

I hope all of you are keeping well in the Lord. Thank you for your prayers and co-operation in the past for our ministry in Bihar and covet the same in the future too.

As you know, Brethren ministry work had been going on in Bihar for the last 54 years. By God’s grace, at present there are around 45 Assemblies and 57 Evangelists serving the Lord in Bihar. Out of the 38 districts in Bihar, we have ministry work in around 25 plus districts. Since last 15 years, many local people are responding to the Gospel and many youngsters are committing their lives for the full time ministry.

Since last 18 years Bro. O. M. Mathew (Evangelist) is serving the Lord in Patna and in the surrounding districts. It pleased the Lord to start the Believers Brethren Church – Patna in 2003. Through the continuous effort of this ministry, the Lord raised four youngsters in the full time ministry. All these four brothers received Bible training from various Brethren Bible Institutes like BBI, RBI (Alwar), etc. By the united effort of these young Evangelists and the Patna Church, God was pleased to establish three more Assemblies at Baktiarpur, Kusropur & Nawada. Please continue to uphold these churches and the Evangelists in your prayers.

One of the biggest challenges, the churches of Bihar facing is the lack of Systematic Bible training for the local believers. Though the churches do give extensive teaching at their local level, systematic and intensive Bible training is required for these new believers. Unless the local believers take up the church responsibilities in the days to come to fulfil the great commission of the Lord, we can never expect the whole Bihar to be evangelized.

With this vision as a church, we have prayerfully started a Bible training centre of one year course. In Bihar, we have no such training centres. So we hope that this training centre will benefit all the assemblies in Bihar state.

By God’s Grace, We have started this Bible training Centre on 8th April, 2014 with 10 students. Bro. John Mathews (Somar Uncle) Denver and Dr. C.V. Vadavana encouraged us to start this training centre. For this purpose we have constructed two residential rooms with kitchen inside the existing church campus of a size of 25×25 ft with tinned roofing. We spent around Rupees Two lakh Twenty Thousand for this purpose. Operational expense per month is Rs. 35,000/. This is a faith ministry.

By God’s grace, we have completed 4 months. Classes are going on well. Already we have completed 10 Subjects. The response from the students are encouraging and promising. Five Students already committed their lives for full-time ministry. Evangelists from Bihar and outside Bihar are teaching here.

We are thankful to the Brethren Assemblies and individuals who are praying and supporting this ministry.

Till now we received Rupees Three Lakh Eleven Thousand. (Rs. 3,11,000)
The total expense including the building construction is Four Lakh Forty Seven Thousand. (Rs. 4,47,000)
We are in urgent need of Rs. 1,36,000 to clear the debt.

Besides we are in urgent need of the following:

1. Four wheeler for outreach work
2. One generator
3. Projector and film
4. Construction of one class room and one teacher room costing Three Lakhs.
