Sis. Annie Basil (a member of the Maplewood Bible Chapel & Abu Dhabi Brethren Christian Assembly) who recently arrived from Abu Dhabi underwent surgery on May 29th, 2014 to remove her enlarged para-aortic lymph node in Westchester Medical Centre, New York.
During the year 2008, she was diagnosed with stage 1 ovarian cancer and treatment was taken. Recently, during her routine check-up, the PET Scan report showed an enlarged lymph node on her left upper abdomen near the vital organs.
The removed lymph node has been sent for biopsy. She is still in the hospital due to some post operation issues and please pray for a speedy recovery and favourable biopsy report.
Update: June 9th, 2014
By the Grace of God, Sister Annie has successfully underwent the surgery and is still in the hospital for some post surgery complications. Her potassium and phosphorus levels were very low coupled with partial intestine obstruction and now she is slowly coming back to normal after a gap of ten days. Today she has started to take fluids on her own and blood reports are almost normal. Our heavenly God has been gracious to her during her tough ordeal.
While in UAE, the hospitals were not ready to take up this major surgery, presenting to us a series of risk factors involved even though she was ready to give them consent to proceed for surgery. Once again God has shown the impossible is possible with our Almighty God in another part of the world and we have tasted a clear demonstration of God’s healing power and love towards us.
We, as a family personally thank all our prayer partners in and around UAE/Doha and other parts of the world especially the Abu Dhabi Brethren Christian Assembly and Maplewood Bible Chapel, New Jersey for all their overwhelming support, prayer and care. All your thoughtfulness, compassionate love and concerns are highly appreciated and may God bless you all.
Please continue to uphold sister Annie Basil to the throne of grace for heavenly intervention, grace and complete recovery. We will keep you updated about the future course of treatment for a complete wipe out after consultation with the doctors panel.
