Ministry Update: CABTI, Chattisgarh, India

CHATTISGARH ASSEMBLY BIBLE TRAINING INSTITUTE (CABTI)

It started on 1st July 2009 with 8 students and also 10 days sisters training for the last 3 years. The 5th batch graduated on 2nd March 2014. Till now, out of all those who have passed out, 5 of them are in the full-time ministry. There are four assemblies now and one prayer group which will very soon take the shape of an assembly. The following are the names of the students who are in the full-time ministry: Anil in Raigarh, Rajanna in Sironcha, Ravi in Dhamtari, Siddhart in Urla and Rohit in Mundera.

The prayerful support of the believers requested as we start the next batch from the 1st of July, 2014. This had been functioning at the residence of Bro. Sibu Thomas in Padmanabhpur, Durg all these years. The institute surely need its own campus where more of the believers can be taught the Word. This year we expect couples to join the course.

The medium of instruction is Hindi and able brethren from various assemblies come to help in teaching the Word. Focus is laid on Bible Doctrines and Evangelism with special emphasis on Hermeneutics. There is also level 1 training given for children’s ministry. By the end of the course there is a practical training, for almost a month, where they have opportunity to witness and during the session they are encouraged to start Good News clubs in different areas. There is a team of committed brethren who take care of the functioning of this ministry. Please continue to pray for this venture that it may continue to remain for God’s glory alone and also for the extension of HIS Kingdom.
