Ministry Update: ECS Ministries – Jun 3, 2014

Prayer

Pray for the Prison Ministry Conference starting this week. Pray for the people that are/will be traveling to Iowa. Praise for a great CMCA conference in Illinois last weekend.

Canada – Peter Kerr
Pray because postage has been raised in Canada again. It is costing an additional 50% over the price of the courses to mail them. He adds: “We subsidize postage for some students who struggle to afford the courses, but have proven faithful in doing courses & are growing spiritually through the courses.” He also asks prayer for the funds to build the new Emmaus office. The Lord has provided for the land and construction will start as the funds come in.

France – Brigitte Sutherland
Pray for the annual French Assembly Conference, June 6-8 (this Thursday) in the west of France. Brigitte will have an ECS stand. Please pray for new contacts.

Brazil – Warren Brown
Pray for our director in Brazil. His wife Linda has been chronically ill for years now, requiring 24/7 care. Warren just wrote: “Our youngest son, Clark (living in Atlantic, IA), who has four young children, recently has been diagnosed with colon cancer. Surgery was successful — now chemotherapy and the obvious uncertainties that come.” Pray as Warren and Linda are in Iowa for a few weeks visit right now.

California – Andrew Eden
Please pray for the ECS course booklets which will be used in the program teaching by Jim at the prison beginning at New Folsom in October 2014.
Pray that the Lord will provide the adequate funding for the provisions for the print materials.
Pray for a New Chaplain at Soledad state Prison and that I don’t lose my opportunity to preach there, that the new Chaplain will honor the current Brown Card Badges in place.
