Newsletter from Ananda & Grace at Malawi (Southern Africa) – March 2014

Greetings in the most holy name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Family Updates:

God has been faithful to provide for our needs to live in this land and work for Him 3 more months. We really thank and praise God who honours the faith which is His gift. We really thank those who are taking interest to share in our necessity (2 Cor. 9:8-13). Please continue to pray for God’s providence and protection too.

Anny & Jack: Praise God, as they have been good in school and have been adjusted in school. We arranged a bus for pick and drop but its always fully packed with other kids. Recently school bus had an accident but they were safe and praise God for His protection. We don’t normally like to send them by bus because of this reason. We still pray that God may provide finance for developing the house at Trust land; the school is just opposite to the land. We pray and trust that God will provide their needs for school. Their health is not so good as they suffer from cold, flu and fevers. Please continue to pray for their education and health.

God willing we are planning to visit India this year and have not decided the specific dates but when Lord provides we will do so. Our TEP is going to finish by the end of May; so we have to reapply it again; so please pray for this.

Language classes are going on and teacher is a blessing to us and is patient; but we could not spend much time to practise because of the work of the Lord.

Work of the Lord

God has been graciously using us in His work for which we praise and thank Him. As Lord said Harvest is plenteous but the labourers are few, there is plenty of work to do.

Bethel’s Work: Pray for the young men who are not attending regularly. Praise God, one new couple & old man have been attending for last 8 months. Pray that they may know and understand the teaching. We are planning to have cottage meeting every week.

Assembly Hall Construction: God willing, we are planning to start the construction in June. Mr. Alan Park of Bass tacks and the team has agreed and willing to come to do the project. This will be a great help. We have very limited finance for this but we trust that God will provide in due time. So we earnestly need your prayers.

Gospel Out reach: By the Grace of God we preach Gospel in various villages on every Monday. Many people came to the Lord with this efforts. Many people are in need of true Gospel and teachings as well as Bibles in Chichewa. We are using Heart books, Exploring God’s Word and The Challenge. Praise God our prayers were answered for good lady translator for Grace who helps her outreach in this area. God opened hearts of many and few of them are coming to sisters meeting. Pray that they may know the Lord well. We could visit few schools around here and share the Gospel; please pray for fruits.

Emmaus Work: The Bible study at Chadzunda, Emmaus Correspondence Course (Book: What the Bible teaches) are also going on well. Pray that they may really understand and know God well. Thank God and He has answered our prayers and open the way to reach Prison inmates with the Gospel and Emmaus course. There 35 inmates enrolled till now. They need bibles to do the course. We need to pray for the Lord’s provision as they are very expensive here in Chichewa. We are praying to reach other prisons in the country; please continue to pray.

Village Churches: By the Grace of God we could visit several churches in villages and God used us to strengthen the believers. In spite of hunger, Assembly hall, Bibles and Hymn book problems, believers are encouraged and growing strong in the Lord in Lower Shire (Southern Malawi and in Postal Shire (Mozambique). We could distribute small amounts of maize flour to them in some assemblies as Lord provided us. Please continue to pray for their needs.

Fire Station work: It continues in Blantyre on every second Thursday and could visit Zomba fire station also to share the word of God. They are in need of better equipment from the Government or NGO’s.

Challenge work: We Thank God for the Good News paper work. It continues and new edition has arrived safely in January and has been distributed to various places in the country. We received good feedback and the Lord has saved many. Pray for Isaac who is working for testimonies.

We need much wisdom & guidance from God. So we request your ceaseless prayers.
