Emmaus Ministries Update: Jan 14, 2014
Dear Brethren,
Thank you for praying with us!
Prayer
South Africa – Dorothy Grieve
Pray for Helpers in the Emmaus work – currently in short supply. Turnaround time in some of the prisons is still a great problem – please pray.
India – P. Samson
Bible classes began in our Assembly with 20 interns this semester. Other students have completed the eight Hindi courses available.
Ethiopia – Degefa Sedoro
Degefa is asking for prayer for the Lord to solve some serious structural problems that are hindering the work severely.
Alaska – Russ Bevan
Russ asks for prayer concerning postage costs. He is also is having trouble with his back, unsure of the specific cause, but would appreciate prayer.
Pennsylvania – Mary Ann Bell
The Lord has called a young man to be our new Director. We are working to get him here full-time as soon as he has support. It is all in the Lord’s hands. The Lord called him and the Lord will provide. He has four little children. We hold family up in prayer for the transition.
Washington – Mindy Sauerlender
Mindy continues to bring ECS courses into the Federal Detention Center in SeaTac. It’s not a huge work, but small and steady. Pray for further interest in continued and deeper Bible Study and the ECS courses, our teaching to be relevant to the women leading to changed lives, and that ECS courses given out but not returned will “fall” into the hands of those who will best benefit from them.
