Article: Separation is Essential
We live in strange times. What is right is often termed wrong and what is wrong is often termed right. So much so that our younger generation is simply not able to decide on most occasions what is to be embraced and what is to be rejected. Totally confused, they often made decisions that are not only wrong, but which also lead them into long-time destruction in their lives.
The other day a young person asked me what was wrong if he went to a pub with a couple of girls. He said they would drink only non alcoholic drinks there and that he did not find anything wrong.
I asked him two questions: first, if they only needed non-alcoholic drinks, then why visit a pub. He was speechless. Second, I asked whether the crowd that gathered in pubs can be considered “Wholesome” from Christian standards. He was again speechless.
The next day he called and told me that my questions opened his eyes towards the need for separation, not only in the matter of pubs but also in every aspect of Christian life.
Separation is an essential part of the Christian life and practice — whether it be doctrine of practical life.
