Article: Samson – Bible and Archeology

Archeology is the science of excavating and studying remains from the past. Barely two centuries old, this branch of historical science has brought a large amount of information about the Bible lands, its customs, and culture.

Information has come this week that archeologists working at Huqoq, an ancient Jewish village in Israel’s Lower Galilee, have discovered a 1500 year old synagogue where a mosaic depicts Samson with the torn gates on his shoulders.

One year ago another portion of the synagogue had revealed pictures of Samson with foxes. The more the excavations in the Bible lands, the more is the Bible-related discoveries that come to light.
