Prayer
ECS International Coordinator – Jim Fleming
Pray for working out the planning details (the Lord’s topics, seminar leaders, vision) of two ECS conferences: South America in July, Africa in August.
Indonesia – Bangun Haro
Please pray for promotion in 2013. Pray the Lord will raise up people to be Emmaus promoters in their towns. Pray as we begin to translate the course: Gospel of Luke.
Texas – Rodger Turley
Pray for direction for the work in Texas. Because of the economic downturn, they have made adjustments that put expenses more in-line with the reduced donations. This has reduced the active student body, which is a negative impact. They desire for students to complete the entire curriculum. More funding would enable them to handle the increased costs of postage and courses and as a result, more branch offices would open to handle the grading/counseling. Pray for grant opportunities.
Alabama – David Sanford
Pray that the courses would be distributed to students and that anything blocking the process of prisoners receiving and returning the course would be taken out of the way. Additionally, for the facilities that have chaplains, pray for their encouragement and perseverance.
North Carolina – Frank Owen
Pray for additional, needed graders.
Please pray for Randy Gruber (Missouri) and Louis Dooley (Illinois) as they prepare to represent ECS Ministries at the inaugural Correctional Ministry Summit at the Billy Graham Prison Ministry Center at Wheaton College May 30-June 1. This event sponsored by The Correctional Ministries and Chaplains Association (CMCA). Randy will conduct a workshop and Louis will speak as well.
