Prayer
India Printing Project
Praise the Lord for a very generous gift towards the printing of courses in India. There are many titles in many languages needing to be reprinted and the need is large, but our God is bigger!
ECS presentations
Pray for Jim Fleming as he presents the ECS international work to a church in Tampa, Florida this Sunday. We need local churches and individual believers to adopt countries, courses and Emmaus leaders for intercession and provision. Would you like to get more involved now that you are already praying? Write us for ways you can. ecsfleming@gmail.com
North Carolina
Please continue to pray for the successor of PC Bill Atkinson to be named. Bill went home to glory in late April.
New Jersey – Gregory Kuras
A weekly Bible study at Southern State Correctional Facility on “Discipleship” with about 20 guys has started along with a monthly class at FCI Fairton for men nearing release.
California – Paul Freeman
Magdy Farag will be spending a day with the operation at Fairhaven Bible Chapel this week to get the last of his training to launch the Southern California ministry. Betty and I are praying for a successful launch of the work in the coming days.
New Jersey – Don Dunkerton
Every so often, a mailroom official in the prisons has courses returned to us for reasons that are not always consistent. Recently, we were told we could not use postage paid return envelopes for inmates to send their exams back to us. Pray that this facility in Bridgeport, CT will allow the use of return envelopes.
Colorado – John Lopez
Pray that the facilities let the inmates use the self-stamped envelopes. It causes a hardship on the one that cannot afford an envelope or stamp. Our lessons are down about 100 a week because of this.
California – David Thompson
Please pray for someone to take over the FileMaker database programs we are using here in San Leandro or provide a functional replacement system.
Illinois – Connie Strmic
Pray for inmate-student Eric Mason who was switched to Illinois River in Canton when the transition took place at Logan/Lincoln. He came to Jesus April 28, 2012 and had just started the ECS courses prior to his transfer. We saw him last month but our visits to him are few.
Florida – Joseph Jeremiah
During my short-term mission in Nigeria with Ireland Outreach International March 27-May 2, 2013, I conducted two seminars for Correctors and Coordinators on grading Emmaus courses manually, and motivating students to be consistent in doing their courses.
