Ministry Update: New president – BBI Pathanamthitta, Kerala, India
A New President for Brethren Bible Institute, Pathanamthitta:

I praise God that the blessed ministry of Brethren Bible Institute, Pathanamthitta is in the path of advancement by the grace of God. I remember the services of the Bible teachers under the leadership of Principal Dr. O. M. Samuel and Vice Principal Dr. K. C. Johnson. Also, there is a genuine and efficient Trust, prayerfully working behind this ministry. God enabled me to serve as the President of this Trust for the past 22 years. I will always be thankful for the love and co-operation I received from the Trust members and BBI all these years.
The thoughts and prayers of many days led me finally to a decision. I have completed 85 years of my life. But I desire to do the duties the Lord gives me. What should I do next? What should be the nature of my ministry? This is the illumination I got. I should continue the works I do now. But the method must change. I should accept a method of ministry in accordance with my present physical, mental and spiritual condition. For example, considering my part and ministry in BBI Trust, I am the President of the Trust now. I should give forth that office to someone. That appointment should be done prayerfully and looking into the person’s qualifications. He should be a young man who shows forth the fruit of the spirit and should “not be a novice.” He should also have leadership qualities and must be ready to serve. When I shared my desire and decision with the brethren, everyone strongly opposed me. But finally, since I assured them of my presence and help in the Trust and also because the person I suggested to my position was acceptable to all, they agreed. The new President is Bro. Roy Mathews Omalloor (Doha) who is a beloved one not only for me but for all the brethren.
Why did I desire for such a change? It is because of my intense desire to see the spiritually equipped young men of the next generation leading BBI, with their trust in God and fulfilling their ministries, during my lifetime. Brethren, please pray for the fulfillment of my desire. Please continuously remember BBI in your prayers.
