Thank you for praying for ECS Ministries!

The planning for 2014 Bible Book Challenge has begun, and churches will be receiving information this week. Pray that all will go smoothly with the processing of the mailing and that many churches would again register and take part in this fun and spiritually edifying Bible study. This study will be in the gospel of Luke.

International Coordinator – Jim & Sharon Fleming
October 8-15, in Germany, Jim will meet with the regional directors of ZAM (Central Africa Mission). They are responsible for the distribution of about ½ of all Emmaus courses annually! Pray for a meeting with the Heukelbach Radio Ministry in Germany that uses thousands of our courses as follow up. Pray for Jim & Sharon as they attend their daughter’s wedding October 12.

Cambodia – Insun Park
“The Lord answered and strengthened my heart (Psalm 27:14) that I decide to take on the ministry of ECS in Cambodia. Can you please send the details as to what are the responsibilities of the country coordinator?” Praise & Pray!

California – Andy Eden
On Friday, October 4, Andy wrote to say that a Muslim Chaplain had been promoted at a prison he was visiting and Andy thought at that time this meant he would be locked out of the prison. On Saturday, Andy wrote to say that the new Muslim chaplain had a series of small strokes that resulted in his wife asking him to retire. Pray that Andy’s card will be reinstated so that he can have access to the prison again.

New Jersey – Walter Martin
Pray for two of his three daughters as well as six grandchildren that they would come to know Jesus Christ as Savior.

Oklahoma – Ron and Freida Goossen
Pray as they raise Josiah, a child born to an inmate. The Goossens are currently guardians for Josiah and are hoping that full adoption will occur soon. Also, pray for John, a Chaplain who works with Ron in the Christ for Me Ministry as John is encountering some serious marital struggles.
