The planning for 2014 Bible Book Challenge has begun, and churches will be receiving information this week. Pray that all will go smoothly with the processing of the mailing and that many churches would again register and take part in this fun and spiritually edifying Bible study. This study will be in the gospel of Luke.
California – Andy Eden
A chaplain at Centinela State Prison wants to visit with me at Centinella State Prison in California approximately 2.5 hours east of San Diego. Please pray that the meeting time and day is solidified and that I have access and approach to these two prisons. I would visit once every year and I would present ECS Ministries to the men at both prisons.
ECS Ethiopia still needs our prayer as there is a delicate situation to be worked out.
ECS – ZAM DR Congo – South
“Mr. Ngoy from Lubumbashi has now had his home invaded for the second time by armed bandits. This time he was himself at home fortunately. Again, we are very grateful that no one of the family has suffered physical damage. The trauma in some children and his wife Carole was however reinforced. We pray that in the fact of these events, their view of Christ and His kingdom is not darkened.” There is spiritual warfare out there. We can pray from here!
ECS – ZAM DR Congo – West
Herbert Martin and Albert Kloster are there from September 23 to October 10. Herbert would like to do administrative work in Kinshasa and then travel to Kasai (Kananga and Inkongo) together with the brothers José Mboko from Kinshasa and Augustin Ngeyitala from Boma. Albert wants, together with the brothers on site, to continue distributing Bible courses in schools in the new school year. They have potential of reaching thousands of high school students if they can get the team to do it.
South Africa/Zambia – Ray Barham
Terry and I will be going to Bulgaria mid-September (DV) for me to have a second stem cell treatment (for Parkinson’s disease). I have all but lost my ability to speak and am hoping that the procedure will help to restore at least something of what has been lost.
Pray for Keith Lenhart an inmate at Potosi state prison in Missouri, who works for Randy Gruberand co-authored Repent or Perish & Divine vs. Natural Viewpoint. Keith recently developed a staph infection and is seriously ill in a hospital outside the prison.
Nevada – Bill Douglas
Please pray that the graders and myself will remain faithful and in God’s will regarding the ECS ministry in Nevada. That we will look to, and wait on, the Lord for the strength, help, and guidance we need.
