Ministry Update: Gospel to Ghana – New Ham School, eTeams
Monday May 19th
The day started with a visit to New Ham Primary school, where Ofori gave a message to the children, and the team offered some nice songs for them. This particular school is always appreciative of our visits, and often have offered some gift to show their thanks. The team received a flat of eggs. This was a kind and generous offer from a poor school. Though New Ham is at a distance, we enjoy going to visit them, since they really appreciate our visits. Even the proprietress called the night before to confirm our coming.
The afternoon took the team to nearby Truba, where we shared gospel tracts and witnessed to many. There was a young woman named Patricia who seemed quite interested in the gospel. There was also another young man named Yaw, along with another woman named Augusta, who were also glad to hear the gospel. There was some uncertainty in their testimony. We pray the gospel, being presented clearly, will make an impact upon them.
The evening movie program was nearly cancelled due to high winds and a short rainfall. After we packed up all the chairs and movie screen, we decided to sit for a time of prayer and seek the Lord’s answer as to whether we should go on with the program. Between Tim and Ofori we made the decision to go ahead, and proceeded to again set up everything. The movie was called “Most”, and young Isaac did a great job of translating the film, while adding some narration during the movie. Ofori preached afterwards for about 20 minutes in Twi, also giving his personal testimony.
