Dear Praying Friends,
Greetings in the most precious name of our Lord.
What a devastation in Nepal with the giant earthquake. Just about a month ago, I was in Bhutan, Sikkim, Bihar, and Bengal in the borders of Nepal, where many people were affected by the earthquake.
My travel to India this Spring took me first to Wayanad Kerala, then Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Odissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Bengal, Sikkim, Bhutan, and Delhi. I travelled very much, and preached and taught in the South and Northeast India. Many places for the first time, for about 2.5 months.
In five different places, I was able to gather other Christian workers and Bible college students for several days of teaching and training in Hindu evangelism. This was mostly about teaching the strategies of veranda evangelism to Christian workers who are willing to go to the homes of non-believers. I have sensed lethargy in Kerala, my native state. We are in much need for a revival.
Four young Bhutanese men, whom I met in a Bible school in India, challenged me to return to Bhutan. I am seriously praying to spend a month with them. In the northern tip of Bengal, I ministered in an assembly, extremely poor and all affected with TB. The day I was there, they got electricity connection, and now they have a ceiling fan.
My last stop was New Delhi, where my brother Thilak Pappu and family are, serving the Lord. There we had a harvesting of souls.
On a typical Tuesday, we started the day in a local hospital to visit a young lady who was trying to kill herself. The Lord spared her life, and we led her to Him. The next step was to visit a sorrowing mother, whose son is in prison after he killed his wife. The third and final stop was to visit a young widow with four teenage children. All the people received the Lord, and my brother is there to do the follow-ups. The young teenage daughter of this lady now wants to go to Bible school.
My six days in New Delhi provided many results, and the 2.5 months total in India resulted in many finding their Saviour. Thank you for standing with me in prayer; despite my poor health, the Lord was good. Blessings,
