Emmaus Ministries Update: Feb 4, 2014
Dear Brethren,
Thank you for praying with us!
Prayer
Rwanda – Peter Andrews
Continue to pray for Peter who had surgery to remove cancer in the colon on Thursday January 30th and is now undergoing 18 weeks of chemotherapy.
Bhutan
Our Indian brothers are holding a training program in this closed country from Jan 13 to Feb 9. Our ECS National Coordinator will attend Feb. 6-9 to promote Emmaus Courses in English, Nepali, and Hindi. Training is expected for 12 students. Pray for Buddhist Bhutan, the growth of the persecuted Church and ECS to play a role in teaching.
Renji – director from a closed Middle Eastern country
Good news from “here” is that the Christian Brethren Assembly has started Emmaus courses. 15 students have registered.
International Coordinator – Jim Fleming
Jim is in California this week and will be presenting the ministry at assemblies almost every day. Pray that people will catch the “International Vision!”
Nevada – Bill Douglas
In January 2014, the highest number of lessons were sent out and received, and inmates served since we started in September 2010. We also sent out 20 Study Bibles in January. Praise God Who makes all this possible!
Pennsylvania
Please continue to pray for the transition of directors at Life’s Key Ministry. From Tim Priano, “I plan to start serving here full time at Life’s Key on February 10th, which is such a huge answer to prayer.”
From Fernando, a prisoner in California
What Do You Say Question: What evidence of sin can you see in your own life?
A: My imprisonment is evidence of sin, but I’m glad for my imprisonment because God not only rescued me, He saved me.
