It pleased the Lord to call His servant Evg. Sunder Ghumare (51 years) to his eternal home around 8 pm on July 17, 2020. As informed earlier, he had been hospitalized after a cardiac arrest and further tests and scans revealed Pneumonia as well. Later on, he was also found to be COVID-19 positive.
Wife: Sis. Sunita Sunder Ghumare
Sons: Joy (17 years) & Philemon (15 years)
Daughter: Stuti (12 years)
He was commended by Jalna Brethren Assembly and had been instrumental in the work in and around Jalna district.
Funeral Details
His funeral was conducted in Jalna Cemetery by the government officials along with five brethren as per Government COVID protocol.
Bro. Ajay Bhaltilak, one of the brethren in oversight, was present with our dear brother and the family throughout and was able to conduct a brief funeral. Many brethren from the assemblies around witnessed the funeral through live streaming. Details were not shared extensively, keeping the privacy of the family a matter of concern.
Sis. Sunita Ghumare (his widow) was also tested positive. The other family members who tested positive were his second son Philemon Ghumare, his nephew Petras Pakhare and his niece Rebekah Ghumare. They have been taken to a quarantine facility and are undergoing treatment.
