SHEPHERD’S TRAINING & COUNSELLING SEMINAR

Theme: Integrity of Heart & Skillfulness of Hands
“So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands” (Ps. 78:72).
This leadership seminar will focus on the preparation of the hearts of those who are or aspire to be in Assembly leadership and oversight ministries and also to develop the skills of their hands so as to provide pastoral care and Christ-centered leadership to those under their charge. The hearts define the character and the hands express the intent of the heart. Therefore, we pray, “Lord, help us to be shepherds with hearts of integrity and hands of skillfulness.”
The mission of this leadership seminar is to provide the opportunity for elders and others in leadership roles in various ministry responsibilities in the assemblies to be challenged in their commitment to Biblical leadership ministry and to encourage them to be more effective servants of our Chief Shepherd. This is done through superb Bible expositional studies with emphasis on practical and contemporary needs. Studio seminars and discussions will also provide additional learning opportunities. The medium of instruction is English and there will be no translation.
The challenges of the 21st century are unparalleled. The demands are high. Human resources are limited. Therefore, we need to learn how we can tap on the unlimited resources promised and made available for us in the treasure house of the Lord, that at the end when we are called upon to give an account of our vocation, we may be escorted to join that elite group of ‘good and faithful servants’ by our Lord Himself.
