Ministry Update: Evg. M. K. Sunny, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India

Dear loving Brothers and Sisters in the Lord,

We convey our warm greetings from Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
We joyfully and thankfully remember the days of the past weeks in which we enjoyed the wonderful care of our Lord. We are having tension in all areas but we trust in the Lord and wait upon His leading in our life.

Assembly
The Assembly gathering here is going on with new attendees. At the same time there are challenges. Most of our members are from non Christian background. As you know, since India is under the influence of Hindu religious groups, they have been trying to pressure the believers in different ways. So far they have been strong in their faith and are able to defend themselves. Recently this group offered Rs. 5,00,000 to one of our financially ailing family, but they refused to receive the offer. We have noticed that my family and the church building are under their observation. But still we strongly believe, these people who are against the gospel can never touch us unless and until our Lord permits. Please stand with us in prayers.
Our children’s (Paul and Thomas) board examination starts on March 2, 2015. Please remember them in your prayers as we are having educational challenges in these Islands.

Children’s Bible Clubs
Thank you for the active prayers for the Children’s Bible Clubs of different areas in these Islands. We would like to say that the attendance of the children have been decreasing because of the pressure of anti gospel people. At Beodnabad, most of our children have been forced to join RSS (a Hindu fanatic organization), as their parents were influenced. These children do respect us but are unable to say anything to their parents in this regard.
At Bambooflat, some parents are not sending their children for the club these days. We gather in the house of Bro. Lawrence, whose daughter Priyanka passed away recently. Now around 60 to 70 children have been attending every Friday. There used to be more than 100 children in the CBC. Please pray for the children and their parents.

Youth ministry
We are burdened to focus on the senior children in our Children’s Bible Club. Hence we started the youth Bible study, which is going on nicely. Please pray for these youths that they may stand for the Lord.

Mainland Word ministry
Lord allowed me to attend a few meetings in mainland and He blessed me to have the word ministry fruitfully. The word ministry at South Tamil Nadu Believers Camp in Coutrallum, had an attendance of almost 1200 people. Lord used me to share the word of God on the topic “Harden not your heart”. I praise God that I was able to hear from many people, the messages touched them and they have taken good decision. God gave me the fluency, to speak in Tamil language. All glory is to God alone.

Co-workers
Please pray for the co-workers. We had Bro. P. Phinehas with us for about a month. He had an eye operation and the Lord helped him to have a successful surgery. Now Bro. Selvakumar is with us and he will be here for about a week. Please pray for all the co-workers in the Lord.
Praise God and thanks to
We thank all the believers, who stood by us for the last 25 years of service in these Islands. We believe that our Lord used you all to be a support for us and we would like to mention that if there is anything here we see as a success, it’s just because of the joint effort of all of us. Praise be to God who gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
