Pray for the ECS Board and staff involved in the Strategic Planning process. Pray that we will be sensitive to the direction the Lord wants us to take for the ministry.
Continue to pray for good health for the staff. It is the season for colds & flu.
Pray that we will find good low-cost, high quality printers.
South Africa – Marlon Govender
9-week strike! Urgent prayer! There has been a national post office strike for 9 weeks. Our work has been completely paralyzed and we have not received any mail for over a month now. For a ministry that is purely correspondence run, this is very serious. There is no end in sight.
International Coordinator – Jim Fleming
Pray as Jim will be speaking 7-8 times this weekend in the Bay Area, California. Five times during a mission’s conference on Saturday.
Zimbabwe
Please pray for the baptism of about 380 born again inmate/students, taking place at a maximum-security prison in Zimbabwe on Friday November 14. We thank God that we have been invited to witness and assist at this event. This will be another opportunity to hear from the inmate/students, sharing testimonies about how Emmaus courses have changed their lives.
Florida – Esther Bradford
“I met a Christian woman for lunch that is looking for an old hotel for husband and her to start a halfway house. Their son is getting out soon. I gave her five of our books and suggested using How to Succeed on the Streets and use these books in their halfway house.”
Pray for the Post Offices and the ministries that are dealing with difficulty of working through that system here in the US.
New York – Jeff Hage
The Lord has provided a godly prospective buyer for the Yonkers Gospel Mission who plans to use the facility as a church and soup kitchen. We would ask for your continued prayers, as there is still much that needs to be done legally to finalize the sale of the property. Please also pray for financial support for the prison ministry work and praise that we have been able to add additional graders.
New Jersey – Greg Kuras
Weekly bible studies will be starting at two facilities in New Jersey this week and another at a local jail. Pray as Greg ministers personally with inmates.
