I try to imagine how my grandparents felt around 1925 when they first stepped onto the virgin plot of land they had just received as a homestead. There must have been an unsettling mix of excitement and apprehension! That is what Catherine and I felt when we stepped out of the car in Aix en Provence, looking for a place to live and set up a new ministry.
